New Client Work: Nairn Golf Club

A celebration of place, heritage, and design

We’re delighted to share a recent commission for one of Scotland’s most scenic and storied golf clubs, Nairn Golf Club, located on the edge of the Moray Firth.

With a view to creating something both rooted in place and ready for retail, we were asked to register a bespoke club tartan, one that honours the course’s distinctive coastal character while offering a refined, contemporary aesthetic.

The tartan draws its palette from the natural geology of the area: dark rock formations, shifting sandbanks, and the weathered granite of the coastline, all lifted by a quiet flash of gold. It’s a design that speaks of strength, subtlety, and connection to the land.

The tartan was woven in Elgin, just a short drive from the clubhouse, before being crafted into a range of high-end products. Each piece features the newly reintroduced BOTHY mark, celebrating the club’s much-loved halfway house and the warm hospitality it represents.

This collaboration reflects what we love most about our work: creating meaningful, story-rich design that carries a legacy forward, beautifully, and with purpose.
