Brora Golf Club
Bespoke Tartan Design & Product Production
Set against the raw sweep of the Sutherland coast, Brora Golf Club is one of Scotland’s most authentic links shaped by wind, wildlife, and time as well as modern intervention. The club’s bespoke tartan draws directly from this landscape, anchored in deep Brora Blue and lifted by warm links gold, shale greys, and muted coastal tones.
The palette reflects the elemental character of the course: drifting sand, weathered stone, the cry of Arctic terns overhead, and the enduring simplicity of James Braid’s original design. Each colour speaks to Brora’s story; a club defined by its land, its community, and a fiercely preserved sense of tradition.
Developed as a woven expression of place, the tartan is designed to live beyond cloth alone, forming the foundation for a considered range of branded textiles and accessories. Rooted in Highland heritage and Scottish craft, the project translates Brora’s quiet authority into a tangible identity; timeless, honest, and unmistakably of its setting.
